CompositionCOLINOL 20/500mg Tablet is used to relieve spasmodic pain and cramps caused by intestinal colic, renal colic, biliary colic and dysmenorrhoea (painful menstruation). This tablet combines dicyclomine, an antispasmodic, with paracetamol, a painkiller.
Dicyclomine relaxes the muscles of the gut and urinary tract wall, easing cramping and colicky pain, while paracetamol adds further pain relief, together helping manage spasm-related discomfort.
Take this tablet as your doctor prescribes, generally with food, and use it for the shortest time needed to control your symptoms.
Tell your doctor if you have glaucoma, difficulty passing urine, or a bowel blockage, as the antispasmodic component needs caution in these conditions. Avoid exceeding the prescribed dose, as excess use of paracetamol can affect the liver.
