CIPROFEX T Z 500/600 MG TABLET 10 is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections of the digestive, respiratory, and urinary systems. It is used when an infection involves both bacteria and anaerobic organisms or parasites, requiring combined antibiotic cover.
It contains ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, and tinidazole. Take it as directed by your doctor, preferably with food to reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course of treatment even if you begin to feel better, to prevent the infection from returning and to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance. Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 72 hours after completing the course.
Drink adequate fluids during treatment to support recovery and protect the kidneys. Avoid exposure to bright sunlight, as ciprofloxacin can increase sensitivity to UV light.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, or heart problems, or a history of epilepsy. Do not take antacids containing magnesium or aluminium at the same time, as they can reduce absorption. If you develop tendon pain or swelling during treatment, stop the medicine and contact your doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use this medicine.
