CompositionCilidin M Tablet ER 15 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It is a combination medicine containing cilnidipine and metoprolol succinate, and belongs to the class of antihypertensive medicines.
This medicine combines a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels with a beta-blocker that slows the heart rate and reduces the force of each heartbeat, together lowering blood pressure and helping prevent complications such as heart disease and stroke. Take this medicine at the same time each day, with food, in the dose prescribed by your doctor.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active as advised and maintaining a healthy weight can further support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any asthma or breathing problems, a very slow heart rate, or diabetes, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. This medicine may cause dizziness or fatigue; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Report any unusual tiredness, swelling or slow heartbeat to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so, as sudden stopping can worsen your condition.
