Cefzon S 1000/500 MG Injection 1 works in the human body in the following ways:

• Cefoperazone (1000 mg): Cefoperazone inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the cell walls. This activity eventually leads to bacterial cell lysis, which causes the bacteria's death.

• Sulbactam (500 mg): This ingredient is a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It blocks the activity of beta-lactamase enzymes, preventing them from destroying beta-lactam antibiotics like cephalosporins. This, in turn, enhances the effectiveness of cefoperazone against bacteria.
