Ceflar Cv 250/62.5 MG Tablet 10 is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Dental infections

It's important to note that Ceflar Cv 250/62.5 MG Tablet 10 is only effective against certain types of bacterial infections. It cannot help manage viral, fungal or parasitic infections.

To use Ceflar Cv 250/62.5 MG Tablet 10 properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush or split the tablet.
• You can take this medicine with or without food. However, having it with meals could reduce the risk of stomach upset.
• Always remember to complete the prescribed course of this medicine, even if you start feeling better. This helps prevent the return of the infection and reduces the risk of antibiotic resistance.

Ceflar Cv 250/62.5 MG Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Cefuroxime (250 mg): This second-generation cephalosporin works by inhibiting a crucial step in the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. By binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins, it interrupts the linking of peptidoglycan chains necessary for the integrity of the bacterial cell wall.
• Clavulanic Acid (62.5 mg): This beta-lactamase inhibitor binds irreversibly to bacterial beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria to inactivate cephalosporins like cefuroxime. This action protects the cefuroxime allowing it to exert its antibacterial effect even against beta-lactamase producing strains that would otherwise be resistant.
