Candosa 8 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of high blood pressure

• Management of heart failure

• Helping the heart pump blood more efficiently

• Protection of kidney function in patients with diabetes

• Prevention of future heart attacks

• Reduction of stroke risk

• Lowering cardiovascular workload

Follow these instructions while taking Candosa 8 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day to maintain its effectiveness.

• You can take this tablet with or without food.

Candosa 8 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Candosa 8 MG Tablet 10 contains candesartan (8 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Angiotensin II receptor blockade: Candesartan selectively blocks receptors for a hormone called angiotensin II, preventing this hormone from binding to its receptors in blood vessels and other tissues.

• Blood vessel relaxation: By blocking angiotensin II receptors, this medication causes blood vessels to relax and widen (dilate), thereby reducing the resistance against which your heart must pump blood.

• Sodium and water balance: Candesartan increases the excretion of sodium and water through your kidneys, which helps reduce the total volume of blood circulating in your body.

• Blood pressure reduction: Through the combined effects of blood vessel dilation and reduced blood volume, this medicine effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Cardiac workload decrease: By reducing blood pressure, candesartan decreases the workload on your heart, making it easier for the heart to pump blood efficiently to all organs.

• Store Candosa 8 MG Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Keep the tablets in their original packaging in a cool, dry place.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store in a tightly closed container.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

• Reduce your salt intake to help manage high blood pressure. Limit processed foods, avoid adding table salt to meals, and read food labels to identify hidden sodium.

• Exercise regularly (aim for 30 minutes of moderate activity most days) to improve your heart function and help control blood pressure.
