Cadixim 50 Dt Tablet 10

Cadixim 50 Dt Tablet 10 is used for managing the following:

• Respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis caused by specific bacteria

• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections, including cystitis and urethritis, due to certain strains of bacteria

• Acute otitis media resulting from susceptible bacterial strains

• Uncomplicated cervical or urethral gonorrhoea caused by a specific bacterium

• Typhoid fever resulting from a certain strain of salmonella

• Dissolve the tablet in a small amount of water before taking it.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose unless advised by your doctor.

• Always complete the entire course of this medicine, even if you start feeling better midway.

Cadixim 50 Dt Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cadixim 50 Dt Tablet 10 contains cefixime (50 mg). This active ingredient works in your body in the following ways:

• Inhibits cell wall synthesis: Cefixime prevents the formation of bacterial cell walls by binding to specific proteins inside the bacterial cell. These proteins create links between essential components of the cell wall.

• Causes cell death: As cefixime disrupts the cell wall structure, it leads to a weakened cell wall that can't maintain its shape. This causes cell lysis – a process where cells break down and die.

• Store Cadixim 50 Dt Tablet 10 at room temperature.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children for safety reasons.

• Be sure to use the tablet before its expiry date.

• To boost your immune system, include vitamin C-rich foods like oranges, kiwis, and bell peppers in your diet.

• Drink plenty of water to help flush bacteria out of your body and speed up recovery.
