Biomyf 250 Mg Tablet 10 is used to prevent organ rejection in adults who have undergone a kidney, heart, or liver transplant. It belongs to a class of medicines called immunosuppressants, which work by reducing the body's immune response to the transplanted organ.
It contains mycophenolate mofetil. Take it as prescribed, usually alongside other immunosuppressant medicines, to provide effective protection for the transplanted organ. Take it consistently and continue for the full duration advised by your doctor, even if you feel well, as stopping it can increase the risk of organ rejection.
Avoiding crowded places when possible, practising good hand hygiene, and staying up to date with vaccines as advised by your doctor can help reduce infection risk alongside this medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any history of stomach or bowel problems, or other medicines you take. Regular blood tests are needed to monitor your blood counts. This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy, as it can cause serious harm to an unborn baby, and effective contraception is essential during treatment.
