Betnovate M 2/0.12 % Cream 20 gm is used to treat fungal skin infections.

Uses of Betnovate M 2/0.12 % Cream 20 gm are:

• Fungal Skin Infections: Treats ringworm, athlete's foot, and jock itch.
• Inflammatory Skin Conditions: Manages eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis prone to fungal overgrowth.
• Intertrigo and Candida Infections: Treats inflammation from skin fold rubbing and candida infections in areas such as the groin, underarms, and under the breasts.

To use Betnovate M Cream correctly:

• Ensure that the affected area is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of cream to cover the infected area.

• Gently massage the cream until it completely disappears into the skin.

• Wash your hands immediately after application unless your hands are being treated.

Betnovate M Cream contains two active ingredients:

• Betamethasone (2 %): This potent glucocorticoid steroid works by binding to specific receptors inside your skin cells. This process suppresses the release of substances that cause inflammation in your body. As a result, it effectively reduces swelling, itching and redness associated with various skin conditions.

• Miconazole (0.12 %): This imidazole antifungal agent acts by disrupting the cell membrane of fungi. By interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol – an essential component of the fungal cell membrane – miconazole increases fungal cell permeability. This results in leakage of cell contents leading to the death of fungal cells.

• Keep Betnovate M Cream stored at a cool temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Avoid freezing the cream or exposing it to extreme heat.

• Keep it in a dry place, out of direct sunlight.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• For fungal skin infections like athlete's foot, maintaining good foot hygiene is essential. Dry your feet thoroughly after washing and change socks regularly to keep the area clean and dry.
