Betnovate GM Cream 20gm

Betnovate GM Cream is used for a short course to treat inflamed skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis that are infected with bacteria, fungi or both.

Uses of Betnovate GM Cream:

• Infected Eczema and Dermatitis: Reduces inflammation and itching while treating bacterial or fungal infection.
• Mixed Skin Infections: Treats inflamed skin with both bacterial and fungal infection.
• Itch and Redness: Relieves itching, redness and discomfort in infected inflamed skin.

Using Betnovate-GM Cream is easy. Follow these simple steps:

• Make sure the affected area is clean and dry before applying the cream.
• Apply a thin layer to the infected areas as directed by your doctor.
• Gently rub in until fully absorbed.
• Remember not to use more than what's prescribed or recommended by your doctor.
• Wash your hands thoroughly after applying unless your hands are in the area being treated.
• Avoid contact with the eyes or mucosal surfaces. If accidentally applied, rinse thoroughly with water.

Betnovate-GM Cream is applied topically.

Betnovate-GM Cream contains three active ingredients, betamethasone (0.1 %), gentamicin (0.1 %) and miconazole (2 %):

• Betamethasone (0.1%): A potent corticosteroid, betamethasone reduces inflammation, itching, and redness by acting on the skin cells to suppress the release of substances that cause inflammation.
• Gentamicin (0.1%): As an aminoglycoside antibiotic, gentamicin effectively works against a wide range of bacteria. Its primary function is to inhibit bacterial protein synthesis, which stops their growth and multiplication.
• Miconazole (2%): Miconazole is an anti-fungal medication belonging to the imidazole class. It disrupts the fungal cell membrane structure, leading to the death of the fungus and hence controlling the infection.
• Chlorocresol (0.1%): Chlorocresol is a potent antiseptic and disinfectant
• These components work together to manage bacterial and fungal skin infections effectively.

• Store Betnovate-GM Cream at room temperature, ideally between 15 to 30°C.
• Keep the cream in a dry place, away from excessive light and moisture.
• Avoid storing it in hot or cold extremes, like near a radiator or in the fridge.
• Always remember to keep Betnovate-GM Cream out of reach of children.
• Make sure to use it before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.
