Ancount 300 MCG Injection is primarily used to prevent infections in patients undergoing cancer chemotherapy when their white blood cell counts drop. It belongs to the class of medications known as colony-stimulating factors or haematopoietic growth factors.
This medicine is also used in other situations where neutrophil counts (a type of white blood cell) are low. These include helping patients after bone marrow transplantation, managing severe chronic neutropenia, supporting HIV-infected patients with low neutrophil levels, and assisting in stem cell collection procedures by mobilising stem cells from bone marrow into the bloodstream.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage and frequency of administration based on your specific condition, body weight, and response to treatment. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions you have, especially respiratory problems or sickle cell disease, and any other medicines you are taking. Report any side effects you experience during treatment to your doctor immediately, and continue the medicine for the full duration prescribed for optimal results.
