Amtas-E Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension

• Alleviation of a specific type of chest pain referred to as Prinzmetal's or variant angina

• This tablet should be swallowed whole with a glass of water.

• It's important not to chew or crush the tablet.

• Taking more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor is not advised.

• Remember, it's vital not to stop taking this medicine without discussing it with your doctor first.

Amtas-E Tablet is taken orally.

Amtas-E Tablet is a combination medicine that contains the following active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker. It works by preventing calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells of the heart and blood vessels. This action relaxes the blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood, thereby reducing blood pressure and improving blood supply to the heart.

• Enalapril (5 mg): As an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, Enalapril inhibits the angiotensin-converting enzyme responsible for converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II. Angiotensin II is a potent substance that narrows blood vessels and increases blood pressure. By blocking its production, Enalapril helps to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
