CompositionAmplinak Ophthalmic Suspension is used to treat eye inflammation and discomfort following eye surgery, such as cataract removal. It helps relieve swelling, irritation and redness, supporting a more comfortable recovery after surgery.
It contains nepafenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine for ophthalmic use. It works by reducing inflammation that follows eye surgery, and may also help lower the risk of macular oedema (swelling at the back of the eye) after cataract surgery, particularly in people with diabetes. Use these drops in the eye only, exactly as directed by your eye specialist.
Good eye hygiene supports recovery alongside this medicine. Avoid rubbing or touching the treated eye, wear any protective eye shield advised after surgery, and avoid swimming or exposing the eye to dust or dirty water until your doctor confirms it is safe.
Before using this medicine, tell your doctor about any existing eye conditions, dry eyes or other medicines you use, including other eye drops. Report any worsening pain, redness, discharge or vision changes promptly, as these may need urgent attention.
