Alrubicin 100 MG Injection is used for the following:

• Breast cancer

• Gastric adenocarcinoma (stomach cancer)

• Ovarian cancer

• Small-cell lung cancer

• Soft tissue sarcomas

• Certain types of leukaemia and lymphoma

• Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (as intravesical therapy to prevent recurrence)

• Advanced/metastatic stages of various cancers

Follow these instructions when Alrubicin 100 MG Injection is administered:

• This medicine must be administered only by qualified healthcare professionals in hospitals or clinics.

• The injection is given through a vein over 15-20 minutes.

• A special intravenous line will be used to deliver the medicine.

• The injection site will be monitored during administration.

• The medicine should be administered in a controlled medical environment.

• Your doctor will determine the appropriate treatment schedule for you.

Alrubicin 100 MG Injection is administered intravenously.

Alrubicin 100 MG Injection contains epirubicin (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• DNA intercalation: Epirubicin inserts itself between DNA base pairs, disrupting the DNA structure and preventing cancer cells from properly replicating and producing proteins.

• Topoisomerase II inhibition: This medicine blocks a vital enzyme called topoisomerase II, which causes breaks in DNA strands and triggers cell death in rapidly dividing cancer cells.

• Free radical generation: Epirubicin generates harmful molecules called free radicals, which damage cell membranes and DNA, contributing to its anticancer effects.

• Selective targeting: Epirubicin is more toxic to rapidly dividing cells, such as cancer cells, which makes them more susceptible to its DNA-damaging effects. However, some healthy dividing cells may also be affected.

• Store at controlled room temperature between 15 °C and 30 °C.

• Do not refrigerate or freeze.

• Keep the vial protected from light exposure.

• Store away from children's reach.

• Check the expiry date and do not use it after this date.

• Once diluted, use the solution promptly as directed by your doctor.

• Maintain optimal hydration: Drink plenty of water daily while receiving epirubicin (the active ingredient in Alrubicin 100 MG Injection) to help your kidneys flush out waste products and support your body during cancer treatment.

• Follow neutropenic precautions: During periods when your white blood cell counts are low, avoid raw fruits, vegetables, and undercooked foods to reduce infection risk while your immune system is weakened.
