ALFUTROL 10 MG Tablet 1 is used for the following:

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate)

• Management of difficult urination in men

• Improving urine flow in older men

• Reducing frequent urination needs

• Decreasing urgent urination problems

• Managing incomplete bladder emptying

• Reducing night-time urination (nocturia)

• Relieving weak urine stream

• Easing difficulty starting or stopping urination

Follow these instructions while taking ALFUTROL 10 MG Tablet 1:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

ALFUTROL 10 MG Tablet 1 is taken orally.

ALFUTROL 10 MG Tablet 1 contains alfuzosin (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blockade: Alfuzosin selectively blocks alpha-1 receptors found in the smooth muscles of the prostate, bladder neck, and urethra, preventing these muscles from tightening.

• Muscle Relaxation: By blocking these receptors, alfuzosin helps relax the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, reducing the pressure on the urethra.

• Improved Urinary Flow: The relaxation of these muscles leads to an opening of the urinary channel, allowing urine to flow more freely and reducing the symptoms of BPH.
