CompositionAlfuin 10 Tablet is used to manage urinary symptoms linked to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult men. It is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist medicine.
It relaxes the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, which improves urine flow and reduces discomfort. It does not reduce the size of the prostate. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it for the duration prescribed.
Limit tea, coffee and fizzy drinks, avoid large drinks late in the evening and rise slowly from a sitting or lying position to avoid dizziness.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or any pre-existing health conditions, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Seek immediate medical help for an allergic reaction such as rash, itching or swelling of the face, tongue or throat. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
