Alfugud 10 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate)

• Management of difficult urination in men

• Improving urine flow in older men

• Reducing frequent urination needs

• Decreasing urgent urination problems

• Managing incomplete bladder emptying

• Reducing night-time urination (nocturia)

• Relieving weak urine stream

• Easing difficulty starting or stopping urination

Follow these instructions while taking Alfugud 10 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Alfugud 10 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Alfugud 10 MG Tablet 10 contains alfuzosin (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Alpha-1 Receptor Blockade: Alfuzosin selectively blocks alpha-1 receptors found in the smooth muscles of the prostate, bladder neck, and urethra, preventing these muscles from tightening.

• Muscle Relaxation: By blocking these receptors, alfuzosin helps relax the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, reducing the pressure on the urethra.

• Improved Urinary Flow: The relaxation of these muscles leads to an opening of the urinary channel, allowing urine to flow more freely and reducing the symptoms of BPH.

• Symptom Relief: This action mechanism provides relief from urinary symptoms without affecting the size of the prostate gland itself.

• Drink plenty of water during the day but reduce fluid intake in the evening to help manage nocturia (night-time urination).
