Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4 is used for the following:

• Treatment of osteoporosis in women after menopause

• Prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women

• Treatment of osteoporosis in men

• Management of bone loss from steroid medicines

• Treatment of Paget's disease of bone

• Prevention of fractures in weak bones

• Increasing bone mineral density

• Strengthening bones in older adults

• Slowing down excessive bone breakdown

Follow these instructions while taking Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water.

• Take it first thing in the morning, at least 30 minutes before any food or drink.

• Remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet.

• Do not crush, chew, or suck on the tablet.

• Consult your doctor if you have trouble swallowing this medicine.

Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4 is taken orally.

Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4 contains alendronic acid (70 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibition of Bone Resorption: Alendronic acid binds to the surface of bones and inhibits osteoclasts, which are cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue.

• Increase in Bone Mineral Density: By slowing down the natural process of bone breakdown, this medicine helps maintain and increase bone mineral density over time.

• Store Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4 at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until ready to use.

• Protect from moisture and light.

• Store in a safe place away from children's reach.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Ensure you consume adequate calcium-rich foods (dairy, leafy greens, fortified cereals) and vitamin D sources (sunlight exposure, fatty fish) to support bone health while taking Alendrate 70 MG Tablet 4.

• Engage in regular weight-bearing exercises like walking, dancing or light resistance training for 20-30 minutes several times weekly to help strengthen bones and manage osteoporosis.
