Afenak Plus NS Tablet is used to relieve moderate pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used for pain relief after injuries, dental pain, and acute back pain.
This medicine contains aceclofenac, an NSAID, along with paracetamol, which together help reduce pain, swelling, and fever. Take this tablet after a full meal to reduce the chance of stomach upset. Continue taking it only for as long as prescribed by your doctor, and avoid taking other medicines containing paracetamol or NSAIDs at the same time.
Staying well hydrated while taking this medicine helps protect your kidneys, particularly if you are also taking other pain-relief medicines. Rest, and where appropriate gentle movement of the affected area, as advised by your doctor or physiotherapist, can support recovery alongside the medicine.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of asthma, stomach ulcers, heart disease, or kidney or liver problems. Report any black or bloody stools, persistent stomach pain, or unusual bruising promptly, as these may indicate stomach bleeding. It is not suitable during the later stages of pregnancy.
