Adilip 45 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high levels of LDL cholesterol, known as "bad" cholesterol

• Reducing total cholesterol levels in your body

• Decreasing high triglyceride levels, a type of fat in your blood

• Increasing HDL cholesterol often referred to as "good" cholesterol

• Managing severe hypertriglyceridemia, a condition where there are extremely high fat levels in your body

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Avoid taking more than your doctor has recommended.

• If you plan to stop taking this medicine, do so only after consulting your doctor.

Adilip 45 Tablet is taken orally.

Adilip 45 Tablet contains fenofibrate (45 mg) and it works in your body as follows:

• Activation of PPARα: Fenofibrate activates a specific nuclear receptor known as PPARα. This receptor helps regulate genes that are involved in managing fats in your body.

• Breakdown of Triglyceride-rich Lipoproteins: Fenofibrate increases the breakdown of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins, reducing the levels of these fats in your blood.

• Increase in HDL Synthesis: This medicine helps your body produce more HDL, or "good" cholesterol.

• Reduction in VLDL Synthesis: Fenofibrate reduces the production of VLDL, a type of low-density lipoprotein that carries and deposits cholesterol in the tissues across your body.

• Increased Clearance of LDL Particles: The medicine helps your body remove LDL, or "bad" cholesterol, more efficiently from your bloodstream.

• Store Adilip 45 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original, tightly-closed container to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Make sure you use Adilip 45 Tablet before its expiry date.

• Maintain a low-fat diet: Since Adilip 45 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol, keeping your diet low in saturated and trans fats can help enhance the effectiveness of this medicine.
