Actrapid 100iu Flexpen 3ml is used for the following:

•  Treatment of Type 1 Diabetes mellitus
•  Management of Type 2 diabetes when oral medicines fail
•  Regulating blood glucose levels in diabetic patients
•  Controlling blood sugar alongside long-acting insulin
•  Supplementing insulin therapy in elderly patients
•  Addressing diabetes in patients with kidney impairment
•  Managing diabetes in patients with liver dysfunction
•  Providing short-acting insulin coverage before meals
•  Helping achieve optimal glycaemic control in diabetes

Follow these instructions when administering Actrapid 100iu Flexpen 3ml:

•  Administer the injection subcutaneously in the abdomen, thighs, or upper arms.
•  Rotate injection sites regularly to prevent skin complications.
•  Once opened, use the vial within 28 days.

Actrapid 100iu Flexpen 3ml is administered subcutaneously.

Actrapid 100iu Flexpen 3ml contains regular human insulin (100 IU), which works on the body as follows:

• Glucose uptake stimulation: Regular human insulin helps glucose move from your bloodstream into muscle and fat cells, where it can be used for energy production.
• Liver glucose production inhibition: It prevents your liver from producing and releasing additional glucose into your bloodstream, which helps maintain proper blood sugar levels.
• Onset of action: After injection, regular human insulin begins working within approximately 30 minutes to lower your blood glucose levels, making it suitable for mealtime insulin requirements.

•  Store in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C.
•  Do not freeze the injection; discard any vials that have been frozen.
