ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 may interact with the following medicines:

• Antihypertensive medicines (Amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide): Taking these medicines together may further lower blood pressure and increase the risk of dizziness or fainting. Your doctor may monitor blood pressure and adjust the dose if required.
• Antidiabetic medicines (Insulin, Metformin): Concurrent use may increase the risk of low blood sugar in some patients. Blood glucose monitoring may be advised during treatment.
• Antitubercular medicines (Rifampicin): Concurrent use may affect the response to blood pressure treatment in some patients. Your doctor may monitor blood pressure and adjust treatment if required.
• Antiepileptic medicines (Carbamazepine): Concurrent use may increase the risk of blood-related side effects in susceptible patients. Your doctor may advise monitoring if these medicines are used together.
• Potassium-sparing medicines (Spironolactone, Amiloride): Taking these medicines together may increase blood potassium levels and raise the risk of hyperkalaemia. Your doctor may advise regular potassium monitoring.
• Pain-relieving medicines (Ibuprofen, Diclofenac): Concurrent use may reduce the blood pressure-lowering effect of captopril and increase the risk of kidney-related side effects. Kidney function monitoring may be required.

ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 may interact with the following:

• Potassium-rich foods and salt substitutes: Avoid excessive intake of potassium-rich foods such as bananas, oranges, tomatoes, and spinach, as well as salt substitutes containing potassium, unless advised otherwise by your doctor. Taking them together with ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 may increase the risk of high potassium levels in the blood.

ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 should be used with caution if you have:

• Angioedema: Patients with a history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitors may develop severe swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat during treatment. This may become life-threatening and require immediate discontinuation of the medicine and urgent medical attention.
• Bone marrow suppression: Patients with collagen vascular diseases (such as systemic lupus erythematosus or scleroderma) or kidney impairment may have an increased risk of blood-related side effects such as neutropenia, agranulocytosis, or serious infections during treatment. Your doctor may advise regular blood count monitoring.
• Hemodialysis:  Patients undergoing dialysis may be at increased risk of serious allergic-type reactions during treatment. Inform your doctor if you are receiving dialysis before starting this medicine.
• Hyperkalaemia:  Patients with high potassium levels, kidney disease, or diabetes may develop worsening hyperkalaemia during treatment. Your doctor may advise regular potassium monitoring and restriction of potassium-rich foods or supplements.
• Hypotension: Patients with dehydration, severe vomiting, diarrhoea, low salt intake, heart failure, or diuretic use may develop a sudden fall in blood pressure after starting treatment. Blood pressure monitoring and correction of fluid imbalance may be required before treatment initiation.

The daily dose of ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on blood pressure levels, heart condition, kidney function, and response to treatment. Do not exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

Overdose of ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10 may cause severe low blood pressure, dizziness, weakness, fainting, or kidney-related complications. Seek immediate medical attention if an accidental overdose occurs.

If you forget to take a dose of ACETEN 25 MG Tablet 10, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular schedule. Do not take extra doses to compensate for the missed dose.
