Aacef 250 MG Injection 1 is used to manage the following conditions:

• Respiratory tract infections like pneumonia

• Urinary Tract Infections

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Bone and joint infections

• Intra-abdominal infections

• Central nervous system (CNS) infections like meningitis

• Blood infections like septicaemia

• Sexually transmitted infections like gonorrhoea

• Pelvic inflammatory disease

• Surgical prophylaxis to prevent post-operative infections

• This medicine needs to be administered by a healthcare professional.

• It is either given by deep intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion.

• If administered intramuscularly, it should be injected into a large muscle, such as the upper outer quadrant of the buttock.

• For intravenous infusion, it is typically given for 30 minutes.

Aacef 250 MG Injection 1 contains ceftriaxone (250 mg) as the active ingredient. It works in the human body in the following manner:

• Ceftriaxone acts by inhibiting the formation of the peptidoglycan layer of the bacterial cell wall. Peptidoglycan is the main component in bacterial cell walls that gives them strength and rigidity.

• By blocking peptidoglycan synthesis, ceftriaxone weakens the cell wall, causing the bacterial cell to break open or lyse, leading to the bacteria's death.

• Store Aacef 250 MG Injection 1 vials at a stable room temperature, below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct light.

• Ensure the vial is securely sealed to avoid exposure to air and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• Make sure you use the product before its expiry date.
