Zyloric Tablet is used to manage gout by lowering high uric acid levels in the blood. This helps prevent joint damage and the formation of uric acid deposits (tophi), while also protecting the kidneys during cancer therapy when uric acid levels typically spike.

Here's how you should take Zyloric 300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole, preferably after food.

• Do not chew or break the tablet.

• Maintain good hydration by drinking 2 to 3 litres of water daily.

• Dietary modifications, like limiting purine-rich foods, can help manage your condition.

• Remember to take this medicine regularly, even during symptom-free periods, to prevent gout flares.

• Always consult your doctor if you need to adjust the dosage or discontinue the medicine.

Zyloric 300 Tablet contains allopurinol (300 mg), which affects your body as follows:

• Xanthine Oxidase Inhibition: Allopurinol inhibits an enzyme called xanthine oxidase in your body. This enzyme plays a key role in the production of uric acid inside your body.

• Uric Acid Reduction: Allopurinol effectively reduces uric acid levels in blood and urine by inhibiting the activity of xanthine oxidase. This prevents the deposition of urate crystals that can cause inflammation and gout flares.

• Gout Attack Prevention: Allopurinol’s uric acid-lowering effect, when used long-term, can help reduce the frequency of acute gout attacks.

• Store Zyloric 300 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Always keep this medication out of the reach of children for safety reasons.

• To manage gout effectively, limit intake of purine-rich foods such as organ meats, seafood, and yeast. These can increase uric acid levels in your body, potentially triggering gout symptoms.
