Zinclovil Cream 15 GM

Zinclovil Cream 15 GM is used to treat mixed skin infections involving bacteria, fungi, and inflammation. It helps manage infected eczema, dermatitis, fungal infections, and infected insect bites by reducing redness, swelling, and infection.

To use Zinclovil Cream 15 GM, follow these steps:

• Start by cleaning and drying the skin area that needs treatment.

• Gently rub a thin layer of the cream onto the affected area.

• Remember to wash your hands before and after applying the cream.

• Avoid any contact with your eyes, mouth, or other sensitive areas while using this cream.

• Ask your doctor if you need to cover the application site with a dressing.

Zinclovil Cream 15 GM is applied topically.

Zinclovil Cream 15 GM contains three active components:

• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%): A potent corticosteroid that attaches itself to intracellular receptors in the body which then influence gene transcription. This action reduces inflammation by suppressing the production of pro-inflammatory mediators and cytokines.

• Gentamicin (0.1%): An antibiotic grouped under aminoglycosides, gentamicin works by binding irreversibly to bacterial ribosomes which disrupts protein synthesis. It is effective against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

• Miconazole (2%): As an azole antifungal, miconazole disrupts the production of ergosterol which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This action hinders fungal growth and also has mild activity against some gram-positive bacteria.

• Keep Zinclovil Cream 15 GM stored at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed when not in use to prevent air exposure.

• Avoid storing it near heat or direct sunlight, as this can affect its effectiveness.

• Always keep it out of reach of children.

• Maintain good personal hygiene: Regularly clean and dry the skin areas where Zinclovil Cream 15 GM is applied. This helps manage the skin infections that this medicine is used for, by preventing further bacterial or fungal growth.

• Wear breathable fabrics: Choose loose, cotton clothing and avoid synthetic materials which can trap moisture and worsen conditions such as eczema or jock itch, for which Zinclovil Cream 15 GM is commonly used.
