Wepox 4000 Injection is used to treat different types of anaemia caused by chronic kidney disease, chemotherapy, HIV treatment or low erythropoietin levels, helping raise red blood cell and haemoglobin levels.

Wepox 4000 Injection 1.0ml is administered intravenously or subcutaneously.

Wepox 4000 Injection 1.0ml contains erythropoietin (4000 IU), which works in your body through several mechanisms:

• Stimulates erythropoiesis: Erythropoietin mimics your body's natural hormone that triggers the production of red blood cells in the bone marrow, a process called erythropoiesis.

• Binds to receptors: It attaches to specific receptors on red blood cell precursors in your bone marrow, activating them to develop into mature cells.

• Promotes cell differentiation: Erythropoietin encourages immature blood cells to develop and mature into functional red blood cells that can carry oxygen throughout your body.

• Increases haemoglobin levels: By boosting red blood cell production, this medicine helps raise haemoglobin levels in your blood, improving oxygen delivery to tissues and organs.
