• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.01%): Benzalkonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound which functions as an antiseptic. It disrupts bacterial cell membranes, inhibiting the growth of bacteria and aiding in preserving the medicine.
• Chlorpheniramine (0.3%): Chlorpheniramine maleate acts as an antihistamine, blocking histamine release in the body that causes itching.
• Naphazoline (0.025%): Naphazoline is a decongestant and vasoconstrictor commonly included in eye drops to relieve redness. It works quickly to reduce swelling when applied to mucous membranes. As a sympathomimetic agent with strong alpha-adrenergic activity, it targets alpha-receptors in the conjunctival arterioles, causing constriction and reducing congestion.
