Unicontin-E 600 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It helps relax and widen the airways, which eases chest tightness, wheezing, breathlessness, and cough and makes daily activities more comfortable.
It contains theophylline, a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles and makes breathing easier. Swallow the tablet whole with water, as prescribed, and take it as prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop it suddenly without medical advice.
Alongside this medicine, avoiding triggers such as smoke and dust, keeping any reliever inhaler to hand, staying up to date with recommended vaccinations, and stopping smoking help keep asthma and COPD better controlled.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart, thyroid, liver, or stomach problems, or other medicines you take, as several can affect its levels. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, marked restlessness, or repeated vomiting, as these can be signs the level is too high.
