CompositionUltracid No Sugar Added Suspension is a gastroprotective medicine used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastritis and stomach ulcers. It forms a protective coating over the irritated or ulcerated areas of the stomach and food pipe (oesophagus), shielding them from further damage by acid and easing pain.
This suspension contains an antacid combined with a soothing, locally acting ingredient that helps relieve burning discomfort while promoting healing of the stomach lining. Take it exactly as directed, usually on an empty stomach, and shake the bottle well before use. Avoid eating or drinking for about 30 minutes after taking it, to allow the medicine to coat the stomach lining properly.
Avoiding spicy, oily and acidic foods, eating smaller and more frequent meals, and reducing tea, coffee and alcohol intake can help ease symptoms of acidity and support healing.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any other medicines you are taking, as this suspension can affect their absorption; leave a gap of a couple of hours between doses. Tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if you notice black stools or persistent vomiting. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if advised by your doctor.
