Tuspel Plus Expectorant 100ml

Tuspel Plus Expectorant is used to treat cough with thick mucus in conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, bronchiectasis, and COPD. It helps loosen and thin mucus, making it easier to cough out. By clearing the airways, it improves breathing and reduces chest congestion.

Tuspel Plus Expectorant is administered as follows:

• Use a spoon or measuring cup to accurately measure the dose.
• You can take this medicine with or without food, as per your preference.
• Ensure to keep the bottle tightly capped when not in use.
• This medicine is sugar-based and needs caution for use in diabetic patients. If you have diabetes, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Tuspel Plus Expectorant is taken orally.

Tuspel Plus Expectorant consists of four active ingredients:

• Ammonium Chloride (50 mg): This expectorant helps to thin and liquefy mucus secretions in the respiratory tract, making it easier to expel the mucus by coughing.
• Bromhexine (4 mg): As a mucolytic agent, Bromhexine breaks down mucus and reduces its viscosity. It also enhances mucus transport by increasing the serous component of bronchial secretions, making the mucus thinner and less sticky.
• Menthol (0.75 mg): Menthol offers a cooling and soothing effect on the throat. Its mild local anaesthetic properties help relieve minor throat irritation.
• Terbutaline (1.25 mg): Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that eases breathing by relaxing the smooth muscles of the airways. As a selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist, it stimulates the beta-2 receptors in the lungs, leading to dilation of the bronchial passages.

This combination of expectorant, mucolytic, soothing and bronchodilatory effects provides effective symptomatic relief for cough and congestion associated with various respiratory disorders.
