Tenovate P Ointment is used for managing the following conditions:

• Providing relief from psoriasis, a condition causing red, flaky patches of skin covered with silvery scales

• Managing eczema, a skin condition marked by itchy and inflamed patches of skin

• Alleviating symptoms of lichen planus, an inflammatory condition affecting the skin and mucous membranes

• Reducing inflammation in discoid lupus erythematosus, a chronic skin condition characterized by sores with inflammation and scarring.

Here's how you apply Tenovate P Ointment:

• Ensure that the area where you're applying the ointment is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the ointment on to the affected area twice daily.

• Gently rub in the ointment into your skin until it disappears.

• Remember to wash your hands after use to avoid spreading the ointment to other areas.

Tenovate P Ointment contains clobetasol propionate (0.05%), which has the following effects on your body:

• Induces Lipocortins: Clobetasol propionate induces lipocortins in your body. Lipocortins are proteins that control inflammation by inhibiting a key step in the process of inflammation.

• Reduces Inflammatory Mediators: By inducing lipocortins, clobetasol propionate inhibits the release of arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids. Arachidonic acid leads to inflammation when released, hence its reduction decreases inflammation in your body.

• Keep Tenovate P Ointment in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.

• Ideal storage temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Make sure the ointment is not exposed to excessive heat or cold.

• Always keep out of reach of children.

• Do not freeze.

• If you have psoriasis, try incorporating omega-3 fatty acids into your diet. Sources include fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, or walnuts and flaxseeds.
