Taxol 30 Injection is used in the treatment of certain cancers, including ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, and some other cancers, as part of a wider cancer treatment plan.
It contains paclitaxel and belongs to a group of anti-cancer medicines called antineoplastic agents. It is given as an infusion into a vein by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic setting, at doses and intervals decided by your doctor.
Staying well hydrated, eating small frequent meals if your appetite is reduced, and resting adequately can help support you through treatment. Your care team may also advise you on managing hair loss and skin care during treatment.
Before starting treatment, tell your doctor about any liver problems, nerve problems, low blood cell counts, or other medicines you take. Your care team will monitor your blood counts regularly during treatment. Tell them promptly about fever, unusual bruising or bleeding, or signs of infection.
