CompositionTaxim-O DT-100 Tablet is an oral antibiotic medicine used to treat various bacterial infections in adults and children. It is effective in treating infections of the ear, nose, throat, sinuses, respiratory tract, and urinary tract, as well as certain uncomplicated sexually transmitted infections.
It contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Dissolve the dispersible tablet in a small quantity of clean water before taking, or swallow whole with water as prescribed, with or without food. Continue taking this medicine for the full duration prescribed by your child's doctor, even if your symptoms resolve quickly, to ensure the infection is completely eliminated.
Getting adequate rest and staying well hydrated support the body's natural recovery while treating a bacterial infection. Taking the dose with or after a meal may help minimise mild stomach upset.
Before taking Taxim-O DT-100 Tablet, inform your child's doctor if you have a history of kidney disease, severe intestinal conditions, or allergies to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics. Consult your child's doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your child's doctor if you experience severe water-like diarrhoea or allergic skin reactions.
