Swich CV-50 Dry Syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in children.

Uses of Swich CV-50 Dry Syrup are:

• Respiratory and ENT Infections: Treats throat, sinus and ear infections.
• Urinary Infections: Treats urinary tract infections.
• Skin Infections: Treats skin and soft-tissue infections.

• Shake the bottle well to loosen the dry powder.

• Slowly add sterile water up to the mark on the bottle and shake well. Adjust the volume up to the mark by adding more sterile water if necessary.

• After reconstitution, keep the suspension in the refrigerator and use it within 7 days.

• Use the provided measuring cup to give your child the correct dose of medicine. Do not mix it with any other liquid or food.

• Remember, this medicine is sugar-based. If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving them this syrup.

Swich CV-50 Dry Syrup contains two active ingredients:

• Cefpodoxime Proxetil (50 mg): As a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, cefpodoxime proxetil works by blocking bacterial cell wall synthesis. This mechanism inhibits the growth of bacteria, helping to combat the infection.

• Clavulanic Acid (31.25 mg): This component acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It deactivates certain enzymes produced by bacteria that can cause resistance against antibiotics like cefpodoxime. By doing so, it enhances the activity of cefpodoxime against many beta-lactamase-producing bacteria that would otherwise be resistant.

• Keep Swich CV-50 Dry Syrup in a cool, dry place away from direct light.

• The ideal storage temperature is below 25°C.

• Avoid moisture and keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Use the medicine before the expiry date printed on the bottle.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids. This will help to prevent any side effects like headache or dizziness that may occur due to dehydration.

• Maintain good hygiene practices such as regular hand washing to prevent recurrence or spread of bacterial infections.
