Storvas Cv 10 Capsule is used for the following health conditions:

• Management of established atherosclerotic disease, evident from recent heart attack, stroke or peripheral arterial disease.

• Reduction of total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides and apolipoprotein B in people with primary hyperlipidemia, which can be familial or non-familial, or mixed dyslipidemia.

• Decreasing elevated total and LDL-cholesterol in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia.

• Provision of secondary prevention after a recent heart attack, stroke or in symptomatic peripheral arterial disease.

Here's how you should take Storvas Cv 10 Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or dissolve it.

• This medicine can be taken with or without food.

Storvas Cv 10 Capsule consists of two active ingredients:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient is a statin, a type of lipid-lowering medication. It inhibits an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which is crucial for producing cholesterol in the liver. By blocking this enzyme, atorvastatin reduces the levels of harmful LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood while raising beneficial HDL-cholesterol levels.

• Clopidogrel (75 mg): As an antiplatelet agent, clopidogrel functions by preventing platelets in your blood from sticking together and forming harmful clots.
