It belongs to a group of medicines called methylxanthines. It is given under medical supervision. Continue treatment as prescribed by your doctor.
During treatment, avoid smoking, as it can worsen breathing conditions and reduce the effectiveness of this medicine. Minimise exposure to known triggers such as allergens, cold air and air pollutants where possible.
Before receiving this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of heart disease, irregular heartbeat, liver problems, epilepsy or stomach ulcers, as this medicine may interact with these conditions.
