Skypenam Sb 1.5gm Injection 1 is used to treat serious bacterial infections in adults, including hospital-acquired pneumonia, complicated intra-abdominal infections, skin and skin structure infections, bacterial septicaemia, meningitis and other central nervous system infections, and complicated urinary tract infections. It is also used in immunocompromised patients and for post-surgical infections.
It is a combination antibiotic medicine, given by injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. The dose, frequency, and duration are determined by your doctor based on the type and severity of infection. Complete the full course as directed, even if you begin to feel better.
Staying well hydrated, getting adequate rest, and following your care team's advice can support recovery while receiving this treatment. Completing the full prescribed course also helps reduce the risk of the infection returning or bacteria becoming resistant.
Before this medicine is given, tell your doctor about any known medicine allergies, especially to antibiotics, as well as any kidney or liver problems, seizure history, or other medicines you are taking. Report any unusual symptoms to your care team promptly during treatment.
