CompositionROVACE 10 TABLET 10 is used to lower and control high blood pressure (hypertension) and to protect the heart in people at high cardiovascular risk, including those who have had a heart attack, or have heart failure or diabetes. It helps reduce the risk of further heart attacks, stroke and death.
It contains ramipril, an ACE inhibitor that relaxes the blood vessels so blood flows more easily. Take it as prescribed, and keep taking it even when you feel well; do not stop it without medical advice.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying active, keeping to a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support better blood pressure control alongside this medicine. Avoid potassium-based salt substitutes unless your doctor agrees.
Tell your doctor about any kidney problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. Avoid this medicine in pregnancy. A dry cough can occur; tell your doctor if it is troublesome. Report swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat immediately.
