Rivolas 10 Tablet 15 is used to prevent and treat blood clots. It treats and prevents clots in the deep veins (deep vein thrombosis) and lungs (pulmonary embolism), reduces the risk of stroke in people with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), and helps prevent clots after knee or hip replacement surgery.
It contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant that reduces the blood's tendency to clot. Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can raise the risk of clots forming again.
Tell every doctor, dentist, or surgeon that you are taking this medicine before any procedure, as your bleeding risk needs to be managed carefully. Use a soft toothbrush and take care while shaving to reduce the chance of minor bleeds.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, or liver or kidney disease, and about other medicines you take, especially other blood thinners or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Report black or bloody stools, vomiting blood, unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, or a severe headache straight away. It is not suitable during pregnancy.
