CompositionRivaxa 2.5 Tablet is a medicine used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults who have had a heart attack or unstable angina with raised cardiac markers. It also helps prevent stroke and clots in patients with irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation), and helps prevent and manage blood clots in the legs or lungs following knee or hip replacement surgery.
It contains rivaroxaban and belongs to a class of medicines called direct Factor Xa inhibitors, also known as novel oral anticoagulants (NOACs). Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, who will decide the appropriate dose based on your condition. Continue taking it for as long as advised, and do not stop it without medical guidance, as this can raise the risk of clot-related events.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, or other medicines you take. Because it increases the risk of bleeding, tell your doctor or dentist that you take it before any surgery or dental work, and report any unusual bruising, prolonged bleeding, or blood in your urine or stools immediately.
