Ramisave H5 Capsule 10

Ramisave H5 Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension or high blood pressure
• Used in combination with other antihypertensive medicine

• Swallow the capsule whole with water.
• Take it at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.
• Do not crush or chew the capsule.
• Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor.

Ramisave H5 Capsule 10 is taken orally.
 

The effectiveness of Ramisave H5 Capsule 10 is due to the two active ingredients it contains:

• Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5 mg): It functions as a diuretic, reducing sodium and chloride reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule of the kidneys. By increasing the excretion of water and electrolytes—including sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium—it helps reduce intravascular volume and sodium levels, which assists in managing high blood pressure.
• Ramipril (5 mg): It is an ACE inhibitor. It prevents the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a vasoconstrictor that narrows blood vessels. This action reduces vasopressor activity and decreases aldosterone secretion, resulting in blood vessel dilation and a reduction in blood pressure. Additionally, ramipril increases bradykinin levels, further enhancing its antihypertensive effects.

• Store Ramisave H5 Capsule 10 in a dry place below 30°C.
• Keep out of direct sunlight and protect from light.
• Always keep the medicine out of children's reach.
• Use it before the expiration date on the package.

• Reduce your sodium intake, as excess salt can increase blood pressure. Avoid processed foods, ready-made sauces, and salty snacks, opting instead for fresh ingredients. Season your meals with herbs and spices rather than salt to add flavour.
• Hydrochlorothiazide may lead to potassium loss. Include potassium-rich foods like bananas, oranges, spinach, tomatoes, and potatoes in your diet, but consult your doctor to ensure these align with your health needs.
• Diuretics like Hydrochlorothiazide increase urine output, so stay well-hydrated. Drink sufficient water throughout the day to prevent dehydration but avoid overdoing it. Your doctor can advise on ideal fluid intake levels.
• Both alcohol and caffeine can increase blood pressure and affect how you respond to the medication. Moderate alcohol consumption (if allowed) and avoid excessive caffeine intake to reduce the risk of side effects.
