Rabium Plus Capsule Pr 10

Rabium Plus Capsule is used to manage gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, including gastric and duodenal ulcers, and functional dyspepsia.

Uses of Rabium Plus Capsule PR 10 are:

• GERD: Relieves symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease.
• Peptic Ulcer Disease: Supports healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
• Functional Dyspepsia: Eases bloating and discomfort linked to functional dyspepsia.

Here are some guidelines on how to take Rabium Plus Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing, chewing, or opening the capsule.

• The medicine should be taken at least 30 minutes before a meal.

• Do not exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.

Rabium Plus Capsule is taken orally.

Rabium Plus Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Itopride (150 mg): Falling under the category of prokinetic agents, Itopride stimulates the release of a certain chemical called acetylcholine while inhibiting another one known as D2 receptors. This dual action speeds up the movement of food in your stomach and reduces reflux into your oesophagus. Itopride also prevents nausea and vomiting due to its action on D2 receptors in a particular area of your brain.

• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, Rabeprazole stops an enzyme system called H+/K+ ATPase in certain stomach cells. This action effectively reduces gastric acid secretion, providing relief in acid-related conditions like GERD and peptic ulcers. Rabeprazole is known for its swift symptom relief and favourable safety profile.

• Store Rabium Plus Capsule at a cool room temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture to maintain its effectiveness.

• Don't forget to keep the capsules in their original packaging until it's time to take them.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach and sight of children.

• Use Rabium Plus Capsule before the expiry date mentioned on the pack.

• To help manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day instead of large meals. This can reduce pressure on your stomach and prevent acid reflux.

• If you have peptic ulcer disease, avoid foods and beverages that cause you discomfort or worsening symptoms. These often include spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeinated drinks.
