Qugat 0.3 % Drops 5 Ml is used for a variety of health conditions, such as:

• Handling a wide range of aerobic gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis
• Fighting against aerobic gram-negative bacteria like Haemophilus influenzae
• Treating infections caused by Streptococcus mitis, Streptococcus oralis, and Streptococcus pneumoniae

Here are some instructions to follow while instilling Qugat 0.3 % Drops 5 Ml:

• Clean your hands thoroughly before use.
• Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down your lower eyelid to make a pocket.
• Hold the dropper near the eye and squeeze gently to release the prescribed amount of drops into the eye.
• Close your eye and press gently on the tear duct for 1-2 minutes.
• Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or place it directly on your eye.
• Wash your hands again after instilling the eye drops.
• If you need to instil other eye medications, wait for a minimum of 5 minutes before instilling them.

• DNA gyrase inhibition: Gatifloxacin blocks an enzyme called DNA gyrase in bacterial cells. This enzyme plays a vital role in copying and repairing the bacteria's DNA.
• Topoisomerase IV inhibition: Alongside inhibiting DNA gyrase, gatifloxacin also inhibits another enzyme called topoisomerase IV. This enzyme is crucial for dividing the bacterial cell's chromosomal DNA during cell division.

By blocking these enzymes, gatifloxacin stops bacterial cells from synthesising DNA and dividing, eventually leading to their death. This action helps manage bacterial eye infections effectively.

• It's wise to avoid wearing contact lenses until the infection clears up. If you need to wear them, remove them before instilling the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
• Avoid sharing items like eyeglasses, contact lenses, pillows, towels, clothes, or eye or face makeup with others if you have an eye infection.
