Low Dex Eye Drops 5ml

Low Dex Eye Drops 5ml is used for:

• Management of steroid-responsive inflammatory eye conditions
• Relief from redness, swelling, itching, and irritation of the eyes
• Helps reduce inflammation in conditions where there is a risk of secondary infection
• Postoperative ocular inflammation under medical supervision

• Wash your hands thoroughly before using the eye drops.
• Tilt the head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
• Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye without touching the dropper tip.
• Close the eye gently for 1–2 minutes and avoid blinking excessively.
• Wipe away excess liquid with a clean tissue.
• If using other eye medications, maintain at least a 10-minute gap between applications.

Low Dex Eye Drops 5ml contains the following components:

• Dexamethasone (0.05%): A potent corticosteroid that works by inhibiting inflammatory mediators, reducing redness, swelling, pain, and itching in ocular tissues. It suppresses immune responses that contribute to inflammation.
• Benzalkonium chloride (0.02%): A quaternary ammonium compound that acts as a preservative with antimicrobial properties to prevent contamination of the solution.
• Boric acid (1.2%): Acts as a buffering and mild antiseptic agent, helps maintain pH balance and ocular comfort.
• Sodium tetraborate (0.06%): Supports buffering capacity and helps maintain formulation stability.

• Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
• Protect from direct light and heat.
• Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
• Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.

• Maintain proper eye hygiene and avoid touching or rubbing the eyes.
• Limit screen time to reduce eye strain during inflammation.
