Pilo-smooth Cream is used for the following:

• Alleviating discomfort and pain associated with internal and external haemorrhoids.

• Providing relief from itching and irritation caused by haemorrhoids.

• Reducing swelling and inflammation in haemorrhoid affected areas.

• Before application, ensure that the affected skin area is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by your doctor.

• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this cream.

• Do not apply inside the rectum unless specifically instructed to do so by your doctor.

• If symptoms persist or worsen after 7 days of use, it's time to consult your doctor.

Pilo-smooth Cream is applied topically.

Pilo-smooth Cream has four active components that work in harmony:

• Calcium Dobesilate (0.25%): This component is a vasoprotective agent that strengthens the walls of blood vessels and reduces their permeability. It contributes to better microcirculation, reduces inflammation, and promotes healing of the affected tissue.

• Hydrocortisone (0.25%): As a mild corticosteroid, hydrocortisone reduces swelling, redness, and itching by suppressing the immune response in the affected area.

• Lidocaine/Lignocaine (3%): This local anaesthetic blocks pain signals from nerves to the brain providing short-term relief from pain and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids.

• Zinc (5%): Zinc has an astringent effect which helps shrink swollen tissues and reduces inflammation. Its antiseptic properties prevent bacterial growth in the affected area.

• Store Pilo-smooth Cream in a cool, dry and dark place where the temperature doesn't exceed 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Make sure to keep it out of reach of children.

• Always use the cream before its expiry date printed on the packaging.

• If you're managing hemorrhoids with Pilo-smooth Cream, try to incorporate more fibre-rich foods in your diet. Eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes can help soften stools and reduce straining during bowel movements.

• Physical activity is also beneficial. Regular exercise, such as walking or swimming, can improve circulation in the rectum area and help prevent constipation, a common trigger for hemorrhoids.
