Oxemia 50 Tablet is used to treat anaemia in adults with chronic kidney disease. It is a single-ingredient oral anti-anaemia medicine containing desidustat.
It helps raise haemoglobin levels, reducing tiredness and breathlessness caused by anaemia. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Your haemoglobin will be checked regularly, and your doctor may adjust the dose, as a rise that is too fast can cause problems.
Include iron-rich foods such as leafy greens, dals and jaggery as far as your kidney diet allows, and attend all scheduled blood tests.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver problems, a history of blood clots or recent surgery, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Speak to your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Report severe headache, swelling or chest pain promptly. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
