Oxemia 100 Tablet is used to manage anaemia in chronic kidney disease patients, both on dialysis and not. It helps improve red blood cell production and stabilizes the body's natural erythropoietin (EPO) and iron metabolism.

Oxemia 100 Tablet contains desidustat (100 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Stabilises HIF-α: Desidustat works by blocking enzymes that usually degrade HIF-α subunits under normal oxygen conditions. By stabilising HIF-α, it mimics a state of cellular hypoxia.
• Triggers HIF-mediated gene transcription: The stabilisation of HIF-α triggers the transcription of genes involved in erythropoiesis, iron metabolism, and oxygen delivery to tissues.
• Increases endogenous EPO production: By triggering HIF-mediated gene transcription, desidustat effectively increases the production of EPO within the body.
• Enhances iron absorption and mobilisation: The increase in EPO production enhances iron absorption and mobilisation, ultimately correcting anaemia.

• Store Oxemia 100 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at a temperature below 25°C.
