Osteri Injection is used to treat osteoporosis (thinning and weakening of the bones), mainly in postmenopausal women and in men at high risk of fractures. It helps build new bone and increase bone strength, reducing the chance of fractures.
It contains teriparatide, a medicine that stimulates new bone formation. It is given as an injection under the skin, usually self-administered after training, or by a healthcare professional, with the dose and duration set by your doctor.
A diet with enough calcium and vitamin D, weight-bearing activity as advised, and avoiding smoking and excess alcohol support bone health alongside this treatment.
Tell your doctor about any high blood calcium, bone cancer, previous radiation treatment or kidney stones before starting. Rise slowly after an injection, as it can cause dizziness or a brief drop in blood pressure. Report persistent nausea, leg cramps or signs of high calcium.
