Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5Gm

Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5gm is used to treat painful mouth ulcers.

Uses of Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5gm are:

• Mouth Ulcers: Relieves the pain and inflammation of mouth ulcers.
• Oral Lichen Planus: Helps manage inflammatory conditions of the mouth lining.
• Protective Coating: Forms a protective layer while the tissue heals.

• Press a small dab (about 1/4 inch) to the lesion until a thin film develops. A larger quantity may be required for coverage of some lesions.
• Do not rub in. 
• Apply this paste at bedtime to permit steroid contact with the lesion throughout the night.

Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5gm is meant for oral use only. It is not intended for ophthalmic or dermatological use. 

Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5gm contains triamcinolone acetonide (0.1%). It is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, itching, and narrows blood vessels. It acts by inhibiting the release of arachidonic acid, which causes the production of inflammatory compounds like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Hence this paste helps control inflammation due to oral lesions.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 25 ºC.
• Keep Orotim Oromucosal Paste 5gm away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Brush your teeth gently with a soft-bristle toothbrush and use a mild, non-alcoholic mouthwash. Keeping your mouth clean can help prevent further irritation.
• Avoid acidic or spicy items, such as citrus fruits, tomatoes, and hot peppers, till the ulcers heal.
• Opt for soft and bland foods that are easy to chew and won't irritate your mouth
• Avoid alcohol consumption and quit smoking, as these habits can irritate the mouth and slow down the healing process.
• Be cautious with foods that can cause physical trauma to your mouth, like hard candies or chips.
