Ondafresh Syrup is used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting in children. It contains ondansetron, which blocks the signals in the brain that trigger the urge to vomit.
This medicine is especially useful for vomiting caused by infections, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or after surgery. Give the syrup to your child as prescribed, using the measuring cup or dropper provided, with or without food.
Offering your child small sips of clear fluids and simple, bland foods can help keep them hydrated and comfortable while nausea settles. Avoid giving oily, spicy, or heavy foods until your child's appetite returns to normal.
Before giving this medicine, tell your child's doctor if your child has any heart rhythm problems or is taking other medicines. Contact your child's doctor if your child develops a fast or irregular heartbeat, severe constipation, or signs of an allergic reaction such as a rash or swelling.
